While you've all been enjoying your summer its been the worst week here yet. Thunderstorms and torrential rain on Mon and Tues afternoons, saw the demise of my'waterproof' walking boots, which started letting in water, Wed rained most of the day and started , again at lunch time today ...even more forecast for the weekend. My fairy godmother came to my rescue in that she needed some white grout and had to go to Perpignan for it. So naturally I offered to accompany her, and we detoured to get some more boots ...they say they are waterproof too, just need a walk in long grass after a deluge to try these ones out...Then another detour to the 'bun' store for a taste from the chocolatier...yum yum. The car temp reading went from 17 here up to 37 down there, but once it clouded over and they had some specs of rain it dropped to about 30. All in a difference of about 25 miles!
