First trial run after the test drive-  back to the good old days of pull out choke and non power steering. A lovely sunny day so nice after all that rain.  Drove from Dinas ( where thanks to Dai's generosity  Beamish has be stopping while waiting for No1 son to attatch a solar panel , so I can still have light without needing to hook up every night) down to Whitesands, taking it very easy, braking on all the corners and felt a wreck when I got there only to find parking up for 5 mins would cost £4 - so turned around for free and headed back. Missed the turn for the main road and  found myself in Abereiddy. Then hit the A roads agin until heading off for the Prescelli hills. Still good green grass in the centre of these roads,and no room for 2 way traffic, but managed to reverse when came across a driver even older than me! Then hit a 25% hill and good old Beamish made it up- Ok in 1st but made it. Much more confident about driving now.  Sussing out the gas cylinder and hot water will have to wait for another day!
