Three Balians from Muara Mea village dance while reciting spells to cure diseases. They could perform healing procession even up to 18 hours without stopping. They use natural materials taken from Gunung Lumut to heal diseases and for ceremonies.

Grave at Muara Mea Village. Muara Mea villagers usually put personal belongings of people who died in the grave. The personal belongings will remain there until the shadow spirit of the deceased has left Gunung Lumut toward heaven.

Landscape of Gunung Lumut at North Barito District in Central Kalimantan covered by tropical rain forest. This protected forest areas is a tower of fresh water for communities in three provinces in Kalimantan. For Muara Mea villagers, Gunung Lumut is a sacred place. They believe that their spirit will dwell in the mountain when they died before reaching heaven.
