Day 20

AUSTRALIA | Wednesday, 11 May 2011 | Views [331]

Today started with a hearty breakfast of Bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms and beans. Should just about last me all day. We set of about 10 ish and traveled about 20 Kms when we hit tarmac which was a pleasant suprise. This lasted a little while and then it was back on the dirt. It had been graded so it was pretty good. Once we hit the tarmac for real we adjusted the trye pressures to suit. Then it was on our merry way. Then a little further down the road we came across "Road Closed" Not good. There was someone there from the roads commission taking pictures. He informed us that there were a lot of large pot holes in the road as it had been under water for a long time. He also infrmed us that it would require about a 400 Km detour. We decided to risk it as it was only a 14 Km stretch. It wasn't bad at all and we all made it unscathed. Nothing much else happened on the journey. We stop off fo a fuel top up at Thargominda before setting off again. We arrived in Cunnamulla about 6 is and 526 Kms later.
