The Riviera Maya - Tulum

AUSTRALIA | Monday, 23 December 2013 | Views [305]

After the disappointment of Chichen Itza, Tulum certainly made up for it. Wow.. the Riveria Maya as it is referred to. This is the type of place that could make your easily rip up your return flight ticket and never go home.

Seriously, the turquoise coloured water and the sugar like sand, just make you want to grab a cervaza (beer), put on your togs and hit the water. Yes, in that order. We can both say that we have had a swim in the Caribbean.

And that is exactly what we did. Our hotel was right on the beach front, so much so that the recption area and restaurant were all sand floors. No I am not kidding.

We can both say that we have had a swim in the Caribbean.

The Mayans who built their ancient city here got it right. I will let the photos tell the story.

By the way, we both liked these ruins.. could it be the location??? Maybe.
