The Food of Mexico

AUSTRALIA | Monday, 23 December 2013 | Views [282]

Food is relatively cheap here with simple meals for both of us costing no more than $15 to $38 AUD.

Meals have consisted of enchiladas, tamales, fajitas, tortilla soup (Aztec soup), burritos, omelettes, juice, fresh fruits, yoghurt and plenty of agua con gas (water with gas).

Cerveza (beer) is very cheap at around 25 pesos (AUD $2) for a Corona and in some places you can get 2 for 35 pesos (AUD $3).

Cappuccino and hot chocolates are around AUD $2.50 to $3.00 each for a medium and yes they do decaf cappuccino as well.

Coke is unbelievably cheap with 600ml selling for 4 pesos (AUD $0.30c) and cold 2L going around AUD $2.
