Tonight, I have been here 2 weeks. I have had the most relaxing time I can remember. On this second week, the weather has been more reliable and no hunder storms or heavy rain showers have occured. It is kind of a pity though, I like thunders storms. The parties are still running every single night but I have gotten used to it. They play pretty good live music. Last night I even had a cocktail in the bar. I must try to rum bucket before I go, but I have 2 more weeks left, so no rush. I haven't felt like drinking loads here just a glass of wine with dinner every now and then.
Yesterday I was in my first day trip here. It was time to get out of this island for a bit. It was an organized day trip on a sailing boat out to smaller islands near by to swimming and snorkiling. It was loads of fun. I have always wanted to try sailing. At this age and with life experience I have given up an idea to marry a man with a sailing boat who would take to romantic trips. I just buy a trip myself. The weather has been sunny and winds relatively mild but after we visited all the snorkling destanations, the crew pulled up the sails and turn off the motor engine. It was a great day apart from hitting and hurting my foot on something really spiky on the bottom of the ocean. I got some water in my snorkel and jumped up to clear it. Unfortunately water was very low and my foot reached to something very spiky. I am not sure whether it was sharp piece of stone, hard coral or sort of cactus looking plant. I am limping now but I assume that it was nothing poisonous. Firstable I am still alive, foot is not swollen or aching. Just cannot place my full weight on it. It should be fine in a few days. A good excuse just sit here on the beach restaurant.
Tomorrow i am planning to go visit Whitesand beach with my new friend. There are more shops, I am hoping to find some shoes for trekking and walking. I am positive my foot will be healed by next week. Flipflops are not the best option for these steep hills. Besides a great number of scooters are stoping and asking where I am going to? And do I need a lift. Cannot blame them as I look like a tourist who has gotten lost.I hope that if I was wearing proper runners I'd look like I am working out and they would leave me alone.
Btw, the cat didn't catch the mouse but frightened it away. I am afraid he will be back. See what happens tonight. Another day have turned to night in my paradise and tomorrow we'll go to explore the real tourist spot, long and beautiful Whitesand beach. There are more shops and restaurants there. It would be great to try something new. I am absolutely gonna visit an Irish pub there.
