My gorgeous wee bungalow!

My gorgeous wee bungalow!

I have moved to this wee cabin, just one room and a bathroom, very clean and totally adequate, at 400Baht per night. I was a bit worried about the bed at first, as it is old fashioned wire, inner sprung matress, but surprisingly I found it very comfortable. It is only steps to the beach, and very quiet, off season at present so not too many people around. The restaurant here closes at 6pm!! ha ha, who knows why?? I can either eat early, or walk down beach to the next one, so doesn't matter. The weather is warm, windy and overcast at present, very pleasant for long walks, or sitting in swing chair with book. very very relaxing, and I have booked for 2 weeks, don't know how I'm going to stand it!

It was hard saying goodbye to my lovely new friends, as they are the only people I know in this whole country. It is amazing how intense friendships become in this situation, it felt as though we had known each other a lifetime, but really, it was less than 1 week, incredible! I even find myself talking to myself with a svedish accent! lol I think we will catch up again as they are coming back this way soon, but have to cross the border to Cambodia to renew their visa. I am happy about the solitude at present though, this was my plan and a good way to feel aclimatised, and feel strong and healthy. No wine here, I have the occasional beer, but mostly drink water, I am feeling very well and happy, thanks for all your good wishes, Caio 4 now...(note to self: find out what Thai for goodbye is!)

Hi there heather wow what a gorgeous little bit of paradise you have there. I am now safe and sound back from cambodia what a wonderful journey it was once again my heart is filled with love for the country and people. had a week at the orphange and it was everything and more. had a chat to wayne re about your contact he had received your email and did comment that since changing his email he had a few mishaps with people receiving emails but that he had replied. So please continue to keep watopot on your agenda and get in contact closer to the time that you wish to visit you will be more than welcome. There was 2 kiwis there when we turned up an another couple arived just a couple of days before we left.We had a good travel round and spent some time in Siem Rep up the north longer than planned as it was so wet down on the coast we cut our stay there still managed some lovely swims as was still real hot.We hooked up with a great little organization running a school for the slum children and a small orphange i will send you details of that if you interested They have a guest house that they have volunteers to stay if they wish and you could help with some english teaching or other things,we didnt stay there as we just did visits at different times but the person who runs this is a truly lovely kymer man(an honest organization). Anyway friend it back to work tomorrow i have had a week to recuperate which i needed more than i relized. All the best take care regards Jean
