Episode 4: It's Pudding Time Children!!

TURKEY | Friday, 28 May 2010 | Views [386]

while The Next Day gets busy preparing its position for us across the
horizon and through the walnut forests, our İntrepid Trekkers, our duo
of deft decision makers, our protagonists in this preternatural
travel-log have all Gone Native.

we nestle into a campsite deliciously carpeted with the recommended
daily dose of Green. This nook is patterned with boulders obviously
carved by a band of curious dwarves walking on stilts; the view from
below is heavenly. somewhere through the ether a shepherd and his
flock of flying goats nibble their way into our playground. ln a
moment of bemused servitude i find myself in locked in a battle of the
minds as one of our bovine friends has challenged me to a staring
competition. Challenge accepted.

we make fire with damp wood while a posse of clouds gather overhead
looking to make mischief. with rain threatening, we are not to be
outdone and begin the task of preparing a stone oven. yes, a stone
oven. we pursue the requisite lifting and grunting and huffing and
puffing until our Stone Oven is ready, and at temperature to bake the
bread.  the call from Malcom Douglas for our advice should be coming
any day now.... Ms Neukermans proves herself to be rather deft at this
business of cooking over a campfire, whipping up The Greatest Camping
Meal Ever Made, combining the chicken we acquired from the last
village and a secret from a packet. then there was the pudding.
Children, there's Always time for pudding when you're camping.

hugs and love from a culinary expedition through delectable lands.
gobble gobble.
