Buddhas lined up at the gate of Angkor Thom, a thick wall and moat surrounding the former royal palace and the Bayun temple.

The obligatory family photo in front of the main (west) entrance of the temple. This is where people come at sunrise for a spiritual experience (seeing the sun rise behind the famous towers). Unfortunately, in monsoon season, chances are very low to see one (too cloudy).

Detail on the wall of the Bayun temple, representing a battle between the Cambodians and the ancient Vietnamese on Tonle Sap lake, a soldier who felt out of the boat got bitten by crocodiles (this made a lot of impression on the kids).
