Byron Bay Baby!

UNITED KINGDOM | Tuesday, 25 November 2008 | Views [468]

Love this place, probably the most coolest little town I have stayed in to date.  I spent a few days here, could have spent a lot longer but it was time to move on.

The beaches were amazing, so clear.  A group of us hired bikes from the hostel and cycled up to Cape Byron (thought it would be an easy ride - most of it was up hill).  We took the scenic walking route to the lighthouse where you get the most amazing views of the beaches in Byron Bay.  The wildlife from there was worth hanging around for.  We saw turtles, singrays and a pod of 15 dolphins.  Normally you can also see whales and sharks, but not on the day we went to visit.

Met some lovely people and now travelling with a Dutch girl called Steph who sounds more English as the days go on!  Now am in Noosa, off to rainbow Beach to feed dolphins at the end of the week and this weekend I am off to Fraser Island (extremely excited about this).
