Survived the night bus

UNITED KINGDOM | Thursday, 13 November 2008 | Views [415]

I decided that I would save a few pennies and sleep whilst travelling on the night bus from Melbourne to Sydney.  In theory I thought that 1) I would sleep and 2) I wouldn't have to pay for accommodation.  Well I didn't pay for accommodation but I so didn't sleep, and the coach was a spacious one too.  It didn't help that I was full of cold and the other thing was that the driver stopped every hour and a half for a smoke....it was a 12 bus trip!  So I was glad to get to Sydney at 6.30am!

A little nervous about getting the bus at night as my mind goes into overdrive - I kept recalling that coach trip in Canada where a man was stabbed to death whilst asleep on the bus (a story I read on daily mail on-line one day a few months back)!  But all is well and I have arrived in Sydney which is a fab city.
