    The Calamianes Group of Islands, about an hour’s ride from Coron by boat, is the ancestral domain of the Tagbanua tribe. Banol Beach is one of the few pocket beaches in the area where travellers are allowed to set foot and enjoy the white sands and clear waters. Views[238] There’s a secret hideaway where seawater and fresh water meet. The brave may swim—or dive during high tide—through the narrow pass to reach the inner lake of the Twin Lagoon. The cautious may climb through the makeshift wood ladder to catch a glimpse of what lies beyond the jagged limestone cliffs.
