    The Calamianes Group of Islands, about an hour’s ride from Coron by boat, is the ancestral domain of the Tagbanua tribe. The brave may swim—or dive during high tide—through the narrow pass to reach the inner lake of the Twin Lagoon. Despite this, however, guides claim Coron is a still peaceful town where travellers are perfectly safe. In fact, there are very few major crimes reported here.
