Coincidentally, before travelling to Scotland I had read the book Mary Queen of Scots, by Margaret George. Delightfully I decided to go on a sort of "Mary Queen of Scots" pilgrimage, which of course included the place of her birth, Linlithgow Palace. Set upon a grassy hill, over looking a beautiful lake the castle that is home to the birthplace of the Monarch was empty and unkept with signs indicating rooms. Upon crossing the threshold however I was instantly transformed to the past and froliced through the once Royal chambers, touching the walls and floors, capturing every detail with my mind and my second mind- my camera.
