It's a tradition for visitors to write their name on a dollar bill and leave their mark on the Ski Inn. Though I happily participated in said tradition, I'm sure the unadulterated warmheartedness of the Salton Sea residents was what left an indelible mark on me that day. As I left the establishment, the regulars shouted after me, "You come back and see us again, you hear!?"
