Never Again

We went to the local market this morning which is where all the farmers come in with the great produce. The vegies are amazing so bright in colour! The peppers look great in their wicker basket and sooooo many of them too! I forgot to take my camera though... opps
Then we moved on to the meat section. This was an eye opener! The fresh fish looked like carp from the river and were eager to get out of the tank. The hens where just hanging out in their cages waiting to be picked out but worst of all was the poor dog's we saw hanging up! The lucky ones that were still alive were cramped up in a cage panting away in the heat with no water or anything. I think we were lucky though in the fact that we didnt get to see the dogs being touchured. Apparently they get skinned alive as this makes the meat nice and tender. Either way it was horrible so we left. But there is truth in the fact they eat dog here!!!! Then as we were heading out of the market there was a guy skinning a cat! that did not look pleasent at all and didnt even look like it would make a nice dinner!!!
Other than that another day off hanging in the streets of Yangshuo. We are just about to head out to go climbing as its been too hot until later in the day!!
