I feel fortunate to be able to share my love for photography and participate in this wonderful opportunity. My inspiration to take a better photograph comes from my desire to capture what I saw, but also what I felt in the moment of taking the photo and to education and evoke emotions. I am a student looking forward to continue exploring different ways of life by pursing a PhD in Cultural Anthropology and Environmental Studies in the near future and follow my passions for travel, writing, teaching and photography. This opportunity to be mentored by James Edwards would allow me to develop my knowledge and confidence in photography and pursue careers in education and travel. With the knowledge gained from this internship I will be able to illustrate my experiences and provide awareness of the different types of conditions that people, animals and the environment are exposed to in different parts of the world through a visual medium. Traveling to Oman would be a valuable adventure because I've always wanted to experience the rich culture of the middle east and take photographs of the unique landscape.
