Tooo the train to St Petersburg from Helsinki, only took 3 hours. Passport and customs checks were done onboard but it wasn't as scary as we were expecting. Then we got out at the station to meet our driver and it was sunny and warm, just like a European summer! He took us to our hostel, a very basic and small place with 20 year olds playing guitar and watching youtube channels hahahaa. Walked around the city and the vibe around the city was electric, loads of people wandering around on their Saturday and we found out it was the biggest day in the Russian calander: Scarlett Sails (a HUGE end of school party with fireworks, music concert and water show).
