Day 149: Pulpit Rock

NORWAY | Monday, 13 June 2016 | Views [191]

We've been having water with the musli...sounds strange but growing to love it. Trekked to Pulpit Rock today. 4km of trail and steps, alot of it challenging uphill sections, but didnt stop us powering up. 2 hour round trip. We were impressed with the range of ages and body types attempting this one. Had a grill picnic in a highway rest stop with a lovely view. When the grill didnt light, Mike went back to basics boy scout style and built a wood fire over the top until the coals lit. tinned corn was the winner of today....mushrooms the loser after Mike dropped them soon after cooking them. Caught car ferry back across the other side of the fjord and took the famous hair pin road down to a great camp site at Lysebotn. The site sits in the valley with water at one end, cliffs and water falls on either side, base jumpers dropping in, sheep with bells, slabs of snow on top of the peaks, pub streaming Euro Cup.
