Day 145: Naked Opera

NORWAY | Thursday, 9 June 2016 | Views [397] | Comments [1]

Checked out Oslo's new Opera House, covered in white Italian marble. Total cost 2 billion euro. Stine told us that in order for the public to be in support of this insane expense it needed to be something that everyone could enjoy. So you can walk up, around and all over it enjoying a great view of the city. Then we followed the tourist trail along the harbour foreshore. Got a yummy free chocolate milk sample where our quote of the day comes from (blonde haired, Swedish looking guy told us to "shake it real good" - insert Norwegian/English accent here for max effect). It's a charming city this one because it's got all you need, without the people: only 600,000 how nice. Searched for a park full of sculptures and found Vigeland - hundreds of statues made by Gustav Vigeland and all of naked men, women and children and heard a lady mention they form the circle of life. Has Stine over for dinner...look at us, entertaining guests.
