Left the bikes and caught the tram into Central to sample some fine tasting falafel at Maoz. Good reviews and it might just be the best in town. Then we happily wandered and by chance stumbled upon the Red Light District. Found a spot to sit next to the canal and then met Paulo, the Dane, who invited us onto his boat for beers. I was determined not to prematurally judge him on his facial tattoos, and a good thing too because he was a really cool guy. We sat and talked for a couple of hours. It was our own little boat party and history lesson all in one. He told us a few interesting things about sailing, The Grand hotel, the first toilet and the fact that several building tops resemble images of the shops they once were because they never had street names.
