With Ivan our tour guide we hit various locations around Chapada Diamantina National Park. Rio Mucugezinho waterfall for a swim, hiked up Morro do Pai Inacio (a large mountain, boulder, hill) and looked out into the valley. Beautifull view, similar rock formations to the Blue Mountains (They have the 3 brothers!!!). To an increcible cave, 50m down under ground...tarantulas, torches and hard hats included!!! We turned off our torches for 2 mins at one point to get a feel for just how dark it was - so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of your face - and all I could think of was, where da tarantula at? (See my face in POD). We stopped for lunch, Mike ate too much...again, then off to Pratinha to swim in the clear blue water river and check out the blue grotto. A really special day, lots of fun, plus the rest of the group cancelled due to light drizzle in the morning, so we had Ivan all to ourselves - score!!
