Angkors Away

CAMBODIA | Tuesday, 25 September 2007 | Views [467] | Comments [3]

On Tuesday we left PP for Siem Reap, the town closest to the temples at Angkor. The bus took about 6 hours and was bone ratling in parts, although I've been assured that the roads are now "very good" compared to what they once were. The tuktuk drivers in PP did nothing to prepare me for the mob as we got off the bus here. A hundred of them fighting for our business, pulling and pushing me in all directions. The driver I picked said, "please, it's better to choose someone quickly and get away from here". Too bloody right, mate.

Tomorrow we begin our tour of the temples.

Sounds like 6 hours of driving up and down the Bungo lanes crossed with the Gig at the Green!

Hope you've got your kicking boots on mate, sounds like you might need them. I'm sure Angkor will be worth it though.
