My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

People try to go on with their lives and do what they did before escaping from their villages. This man is 72 years old and left Syria at a sudden with his son. They had a bakery that has been destroyed and they have now arranged their new shop in an emergency building, decorated with a painting of the Kurdish flag and the picture of Masoud Barzani, the founder of the democratic Party of Kurdistan and President of the Kurdish Autonomous Region of Iraq. He gives pitas, the local bread, for free to all refugees who cannot afford to pay for it.
