Passengers of all ages climb aboard the jeepney. The woman wearing a hat, standing behind the jeepney doubles as a fare collector and a barker.

Waiting for the next trip, passengers at a jeepney station lull the afternoon away, chatting with each other. Not all stations are equipped with benches, sunshades, and security guards, such as this one.

View from the jeepney´s cockpit. Note that the jeepney´s body design is taken from the American military jeep, its engine and parts are taken from discarded Japanese trucks, and its interiors are adorned with religious images --- influences from nations that occupied the Philippines in the past. (Spain, US, and Japan)
