Well after only just deciding that i was travelling 2 weeks ago i have discovered the number 1 rule. Communication with your travel partner! After flying from Australia to Wellington then on to Christchurch i discovered that the phone number i had been given didn't work overseas..... ok well then just meet them at the hostel right...... cept i got the just the name of the hostel not the exact location.... hence correct hostel - wrong side of city...... luckily Christchurch is a small city, so after walking to the other hostel and looking rather stupid i found my travel buddy and the correct hostel.... luckily without a hugh incident already.
