About 80 meters to the volcano's crater and the sun is just starting to peak up above a dark hiking trail.

Japanese people start the climb at nightfall to reach the summit for sunrise. Here, you can see the moon rising over the city of Fujiyoshida.

The top of the Mountain has a Temple and Torii gate signaling a successful hike to the climbers. Reaching the summit by sunrise is a key part of the entire excursion. It's described as seeing the sun rise over a sea of clouds. The sunrise from the top of Mt. Fuji is so powerful it is considered a deity and is called Goraiko.
