6 Continents, 5 Months

The "Double Mile High" City

PERU | Wednesday, 17 November 2010 | Views [237]

Today we had to get up at 5 am to get on a flight to Cuzco. It was only a one hour flight but the elevation change was huge. We went from sea level to 3000 meter above sea level in an hour. Denver is 1600 m above sea level and Cuzco is 3000 m up. It is way to high to what I'm used to. The streets are really crowded with tourists and the you cant go 10 steps without either being begged for money or people trying to sell you useless crap. It gets really annoying.
