Farming – Day One

IRELAND | Monday, 15 March 2010 | Views [322]

Day one on the farm and it was hard work. Much harder than I expected actually. Today I fed a lamb first thing in the morning, planted apples, plumbs, pears, raspberries and onions as well as a long row of beech trees, moved sheets of corrugated iron, fed horses and, most importantly, shovelled horse shit. I’m tired, sore and having second thoughts but I’m determined to do at least a week. On a totally different note – I think that I am developing an unhealthy addiction to yoghurt covered raisons and dried cranberries!
