Today (July 26th, 2011) we wandered the streets and fish & chip restaurants of Whitby. We are sure this was much as Captain James Cook did some 243 years ago before he set off on HMS Bark Endeavor to track the course of Venus across the sun and then claim New Zealand for England. In about 40 days we'll be launching ourselves on Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Australia to chart the course of England and New Zealand and 18 other countries in their attempts to capture the Rugby World Cup title and claim a greater knowledge of the wines of New Zealand.
