QLD Atherton Tablelands

I can't believe it, it is our last night in the camper!  After 65 nights in the camper we have to give it back tomorrow.  I think me and Mark are going to need therapy as we haven't been more than a metre apart for 65 nights!!!  And yes, we are still speaking!  The mini-beast has been an exceptional way of seeing Oz and I wouldn't have liked to travel this distance in any shorter time.  We have just spent the last 3 days in the Atherton Tablelands.  About 1 hour inland from Cairns the tablelands are part of the great dividing range that runs all down the east coast.  It is a bit cooler on the tablelands and not as humid.  Had a great few days staying in Mareeba, Kuranda and Malanda.  Been walking the rainforest, swimming in extinct volcanic craters, exploring the savana wetlands and enjoying the campfire at the last stop in Malanda.  Staying for one night at a hotel in Cairns tomorrow and then we fly to Uluru for 3 nights.  Hope the weather has improved in the UK, snow at the end of April?? that's crazy!!  I was hoping for the start of summer when we get home! Love to all Dawn and Mark xxxx

Gday, YOU might think it's gone fast but we don't! I think you've grown an unhealthy attachment to the minibeast & I wouldn't be surprised if Mark didn't volunteer you to stay in Oz. & fetch the minibeast home instead. For this week it has been sunny & relatively warm but not to last. I still think you've more adventures to come. XXX
