Adventure before dementia

QLD Gold Coast

AUSTRALIA | Sunday, 3 April 2016 | Views [327] | Comments [3]

We are now in Queensland.  From one extreme to the other, we travelled from the remote mountains to one of the most commercial areas in Oz - the Gold Coast.  Fancied a bit of brash as described in the travel guide but it is actually really nice.  I was expecting Blackpool but it is more Miami.  We camped on a surprisingly lovely site just outside the main town of Surfers Paradise.  Hired bikes yesterday and cycled along the coast through multiple areas of the gold coast, all really nice.  My bike is the coolest bike I have every ridden, it is a beach cruiser.  Bit crackered when we got back, we did about 25-30 miles in 30C sunshine.  I also had the best ice cream I have ever had - turkish delight flavour, yummy, yum, yum!  And checked out a few buff bods at the volley ball competition!  Great day.
