NSW Nelson Bay & Myall Lakes

AUSTRALIA | Tuesday, 22 March 2016 | Views [381] | Comments [1]

Long time no blog, sorry!  After leaving the blue mountains we headed out to the coast north of sydney.  We had a cheeky stopover next to the beach at Nelson Bay and then stayed two nights at the Myall Lakes national park.  Both amazing.  Myall lakes was really secluded 10 miles down a dirt track and we spent a couple of days exploring the forest, lake and beach on front.  Saw loads of wildlife including large lace monitors, white bellied eagles, pelicans, parrots, kangeroos and on the negative side our second snake - a yellow faced whipsnake.  It was only small and we later found out it was not deadly poisionous unlike the first snake we saw.  Mark requested a quiet spot on the campsite and as you can see from the photos we got it!!

Oh no not another snake but it's not bad going only seeing two in nearly a month! Sounds like you're having an amazing time and looks gorgeous xx
