Arrived Florence

Arrived.
Found our accommodation after again heading off in the wrong
direction. Maps work but descriptions in english written by foreign
language people just get lost in translation.
Room is warm and has a window onto a busy street. The problem with
this format is that you can open the windows to let the fresh air
into the room and cool it but the street noise is too much for
sleeping. Close the windows and the air runs out and the temperature
rises. A common problem in hotels and hostels. We have an additional
problem which is that the room is next to reception and the noisy
entrance door.
The room is not too bad. It is large with high ceilings and the beds
are comfortable. There is only one bathroom and shower to share but
there are not that many people sharing the facilities as most have
en-suite facilities we were just being tight arses yet again. We have
paid
for the room so will have to stick it out. Not expecting much sleep
for the next few days with this setup.
The big advantage is access to the old town in Florence and the
train station. 10 min either way.
