Well we have arrived and it was -10 deg C when we stepped off the train just short of the arctic circle. Glad to be off after 9.5 hr and two movies. We had about 1.5 km to walk with my hand scrawled map and got lost along the way but the handy service station people pointed us in the right direction. The -10 Deg C was no match for our 2.5 kg duck down filled super warm coats so they were a good purchase!
Happy Birthday Vanessa!!!!!!!! Just got to the self contained unit in time to mix up a couple of black russians and chink chink our cups together to celebrate.
When we wake up we will celebrate some more with our expensive champagne and search for Santa...
