Canal Boating - Reading

UNITED KINGDOM | Wednesday, 7 May 2008 | Views [472]

Kylie and Loges idea, hire a canal boat, take a lot of wine and food and cruise the canals for three nights! Who could say no!?

Picked up the boat in Aldermaston, just south of Reading. After a quick, and i mean 5min, debrief about the boat, we were left to it!!

All that was left to be done was pop the top of the wine, lay back and cruise the canal! Worked our way through a few of the locks - think we did over 15 locks each way - they were fun and kept us entertained! Just enough effort every know and then to keep you awake and make you feel like your contributing!! We all had a go at drivin, very slow boat response - meaning dana zig zagged alot~!!

We stopped along the way at different pubs - had a game of bats down!, chatted to the river folk - interesting bunch them ones! Was an absolutely primo weekend. No choice but to completely unwind and enjoy each others company! Definetly to be done again!!
