How to spend your redundancy settlement

Sao Paulo

The bus from Sao Paulo was really nice. It had fully reclining seats, leg rests the lot.

Once i arrived i got the Metro (underground) to my hostel. LimeTime is a really nice hostel with lots of nice staff that mede me feel really welcome. They noticed it was my birthday the following day so got everyone to go out that night to celebrate as they go clubbing soo late over here you go out to see your birthday in rather than out.

We had pre drinks at the hostel and everyone sang Happy Birthday before we all jumped in to taxi´s and headed to D-Edge apparently one of the best clubs in Sao, and Sao is known in Brazil for clubbing. D-Edge was really good and i had a really good night.

Obveously the next day was my birthday. I got up late with a bit of a fuzzy head and went to the Art Meuseum. There was a exhibition on about Romanticisum and there were some really good pieces. Downstairs there was an exhibiton about photography with some outstandingpictures. they were fantastic. after that i went to get lunch and decided to have Stroganoff as it was the meal of the day. They love Stroganoff over here wierdly as you see it everywhere however it was a bad choice as the cream mixed with the temperature didn´t make me feel too good but ahwell. you win some you loose some.

After that i went back to the hostel and read all the lovely messages i had recieved on Facebook wishing me a happy birthday. There were literally hundreds and they all made me feel very jolly as i was soo far from home. I also managed to Skype Mum and Dad so that was really nice if not a bit home sick and teary.

In the evening i went to a 'Charico' or something like that where they walk around with lots of different meats and you pick what you want and they slice it for you there and then. These are massivley popular in Brazil and the food is actually really good. I thought i should do this now as its my b´day and because i´m leaving Brazil soon. after dinner we went back to the hostel for drinks with the people that didn´t eat with us and watch the film 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall'

The next day i needed to organise my bus to Foz do Iguaçu that evening. Ofcorse this wouldn´t go smoothly as the one company that sells tickets to here was ofcourse closed as their computers had broken. This meant that i had to hang around until they were up and running again. by the time this had happened i had time to go back to the hostel get some lunch and return to the station to get my bus.
