La Paz - The most dangerous city in the world - Or so they say.
La Paz really isn't a place to be affraid of. as long as you are sensible you'll be fine. i saw no troubke in all the time i was here.
On our way we stopped atop a nearby hill to take a few pictures of the city in all its splendour. We had the afternoon to ourselfs so a group of us went on a wander around and ate some street food. We had Empenadas (cornish pasty) for 30p and then went for a really good beef and rice dish.
In the evening we went out for one of the best steaks i have ever had. it was soooo good. on returning to the hotel we decided to all pile into one of the bedrooms and play drinking games. Rumors spread like wildfire over what happened in that room. Its all above board but very very funny.
The following day meant that the trip was now over. So i was no longer officially on the trip. This did however now mean the i had a private room to myself !! YES !! however the double bed wasnt quite to myself ;)
In the day we walked down to San Pedro prison. This prison is run by the inmates not the gards. People are able to upgrade their rooms depending on howmuch they spend. They have a swimming pool, their wives and children are able to live in there with them and come and go as they please its just nuts. We tryed to get in so that we could have a look around however the gards weren't having any of it. If you want to know more read Marching Powder.
The following day was the start of the English football season so i was delighted to see that 2 matches were on tv in my room. after watching them i went out for a wander around and in the evening we went out for a pizza and then a few drinking games in the restaurant in the hotel.
The following day was an early rise as i said bye to people and headed to the airport to fly to Rio via Lima
