In the morning we returned to civilisation and had some breakfast before we headed off to Nazca. Once we arrived in Nazca we had a look at 3 of the famous lines. These are pretty wicked and are believed to have been created by the Nazca people walking the samelines over and over again hundreds of years ago. After that we headed off to the campsite and pitched up our tents. This campsite was like none in England as it had a swimming pool, bar, cinema room etc. In the evening we watched the new A-Team film (obveously not a pirate) and went to bed.
The following day was one of the best yet. We headed off with our guide to a spot where there were pre-inca burrials. These however have been destroyed by grave robbers so skelitons and pottery are lying all over the surface. these skelitons are over 1000 years old. its crazy.
We then headed off to a Pyramid that has only just been opened up to tourists, and even then its restricted, luckily our guide works on the pyramid so we got look around. It was incredible. (i`ll post photo`s later)On the way back to the main road (30 mins dirt track away) we got the roof seats out. this was lots of fun as they are exactly what they sound like 8 seats on the roof of an already massive truck. After that we went to a Nazca cemetary where they have really well preserved mummys. these are preserved so well due to the humidity of the desert. they have 2cm of rainfall a year. These mummys have hair, skin everything still intact.
We then droveto Puerto Inca and pitched up our tents on the beach. Great view from the tent. we then had food and a big fire on the beach. great times had by all.
