Its Saturday, after an early start from us and an all nighter (including a 12 hour flight from Pat), the three of us began early with nothing but site seeing in mind... We drove up the historic Hollywood Blvd, ensuring we had a quick stop here to check out the Hollywood stars...
Then we ventured into the Hollywood hills (great views and even better houses)!
It was then that we headed down Sunset Blvd to Beverly Hills where the houses were ridiculous – mansions sitting either side of brilliant palm tree lined roads, immaculate lawns and gardens, and each with there fair share of expensive cars out the front... It was a big wake up call to see how the rich live it up in this great city! After a bit of a reality check we headed down Santa Monica blvd to Santa Monica but we ensured that we stopped off at Americas favorite restaurant to show Pat a true American lunch – MacDonald's LOL... We arrived in Santa Monica to an overcast cold day (sunny California was hiding itself today and we blamed pat for this of course), regardless we saw Santa Monica Pier which was great!
We timed our visit perfectly as today there was a car show at the pier so we also checked out a few classics....
We walked along the famous boulevard to Muscle beach but the weather was keeping the people watching from us.
We killed the rest of the afternoon on 4th St which is a busy shopping, dining and busking strip... After a busy day, it was a great struggle with traffic to get back nth to the hotel which proved a little too much for Pat as you will see... Its an early night for all of us as we are planning a busy day for tomorrow!
