Photographers always attempt to reproduce certain images for their respective clients. A soon-to-be bride may see a photo of a woman with an elaborate dress on and immediately think to herself, “I want that setting and pose, but with me in my dress." Pictures are unique things that catch people’s attention, as well as capture a moment in time. A simple family trip changed the way I capture memories, abstract concepts only here for a fraction of a second, and share them with the world. Taking pictures around my small college town in Alabama has allowed me to show my community the beauty of things that go unseen. For me, photography is about bringing to light those moments in time that often remain overlooked. The experience I would gain would affect not only me as an Integrated Marketing Communications major, but also my school and community by introducing the knowledge I would gain through a cultural experience. My heart is in showing people the greatest aspect of things they observe and making sure they see the potential that each unique opportunity offers. A lifetime is made up of many moments, but it's about capturing the candid moments that make it worthwhile.
