Though we were a world away from small-town Livingston, AL, I felt right at home when we experienced numerous animals crossing the road as we were traveling through the park. This deer decided to stop for a photo on its journey to see if the grass really is greener on the other side.

After traveling with my family to Yellowstone Nat'l Park, I had a great opportunity to use my new camera. Mother Nature decided to make the park twice as alluring by reflecting the mountain's beauty in the lake. I couldn't think of a better way or a more appropriate subject to break in my equipment.

I'm always up for a thrill, although I might have cut it a little too close with this buffalo. With my mother screaming to get in the car and a 2,000 pound animal charging at me, I managed to capture this picture (and not get trampled to death).
