Gone Again It is a long drive from Colorado to Panama and back. Anything can happen.

Try saying "Guanajuato"

Guanajuato's underground roads

Guanajuato's underground roads

It seems that once you meet another camper you can’t help but run into them again…and again!  When we returned from Guanojuato today Art and Gillian who we had met in Zacatecas were camped nearby.  Tony and Susan, our new friends, had met them last week.  Small world.

Besides being fun to say (try it!) Guanajuato is a spectacular town, the kind you would like to settle down in.  Although crowded it is pedestrian friendly and the mercado has everything you could want.  The plazas beckon you to sit for a while and listen to the music and enjoy a helado.  Guanajuato is known for the painter Diego Rivera who lived here and Cervantes who didn’t.  Nor did Don Quixote or Sancho Panza but statues of both abound.  Go figure.
