Bored policemen tried to find a way to spend their time in Taksim Square. They took to attempting to startle the pigeons into flying in formation.

The usually bustling square of Taksim is now empty as the police cleared the area after the May Day riots. This is the iconic Monument of the Republic whose solitude is shared with the birds.
