Is this Hot or Cold? Translate it correctly and one of the two prizes goes to you. (First one will most likely go to my sister Renie who hasn't missed a contest yet!)

Hanoi – Siem Reap (Angkor Wat!), Cambodia:  This afternoon I am headed to the Jewel of All Temples – Angkor Wat.  My flight leaves at 4:00 pm so there won’t be further updates until tomorrow.  I am headed out to do some last minute exploring of the city prior to facing my fear: another encounter with the Evil Conniving Taxi Cab Driver.  Isn’t there some passage in the bible that refers to the “last honest man”?  I bet they were referring to taxi cab drivers in the Old Testament.

I just finished the book – “First they killed my father” by Loung Ung.  It is about the author’s life as a child during the Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia.  Very sobering and I am glad I finished it.  Just my luck the Customs agent would be an ex-Khmer Rouge and catch me with the book.

Speaking of reading and learning, this hotel has the hot / cold faucets name in French!  How classy is that?  Prize for the person that can translate hot / cold correctly in French.  Well…two prizes since it seems my sister Renie will definitely enter the contest. Note to all of you kids out there:  This is a good reason to stay in school and not drop out.  The next time you are in Vietnam, you can know which faucet to turn on and thank your French 101 teacher.

Check out time is 12:00 noon today.  I will be leaving at 11:59 am.

Cri should have had this one... I'll email her and tell her to quick check in so she can get the second prize!
Chaud is French for hot but in Guam the urban meaning is Redneck. All these prizes will make great white elephant gifts at Christmas I am sure!

Dave wants to know what all the motorcyclists do when it rains?
Today was a great day here! Low 80's, no humidity... I biked 5 miles to the Y, went to a weight class, swam 3/4 of a mile, biked home, cut the grass, went back to the Y and swam 500 yards... energizer bunny. Tomorrow... bike downtown... 30 miles round trip...Just so you know I am just not sitting around reading your blogs.

Renie,
Why didn't you swim the additional 500 yards when you were in the pool the first time?

I am guessing you figured it out yourself without getting burned. Can I have consolation prize?
