for a nice day, gonna go see chamonix today. Long time I hear about
it let see that mont blanc.

st-gervais and it was still early so told myself ok let carry on with
all the stuff up to chamonix. First I tought to leave the weight in a
campsite in st-gervais but o well find a place to sleep up there. To
get there, you need to go all around the highway and through lot of
little village, the climb is really hard with the weight but so worth
it, the spectacle was amazing and I still didnt see the snowed peak.
Once it start to go down, I finally saw it, my first view on it
trough some trees,
went
pass houle, nice little village, but wanted to reach the big name.
Once there, let find the campsite and look around after... got out an
in front the town from 3 different road and not one sign of any
campsite, were the hell are they, asked someone, told me there one
near the hospital but at this time of the year not sure its gonna be
open... so I went to check on it and was open. She asked me 15 euro
for a night... I told her wow that is really expensive. She told me
well its chamonix and this is a 3 star campsite... it cost me 10
euro on the Cote d azur, directly on the beach so I just when off. A
bit further was a backpacker, they charge 20 euro in france so I said
ok let go there, at least I gonna have electricity and a bed. But
once there, it was close. A guy that work there was around and talked
with him a bit and told him well I gonna go back in the wood, I dont
plan to pay that price. So he told me well just go a bit further on
the road then turn right and there plenty of wood there and no one
gonna disturbed you and you have a source of water just there.
Brilliant, that what I gonna do. Hoped for a good shower but oh well
will wait one more day. Baby sheet till be ! I bought me a little
Rosé that I drank with some nice chozizo and pesto pasta. After the
wine I felt like some more, its saturday and am in chamonix so let
foind a bar. Meet 2 guy's on the way there one with a beach umbrella
on is back... they went a different way for a birthday party. Was a
good star, found a bar, ordered a beer and the guy asked me for 5.10
euro.. ouch its just a beer and even more expensive then Canne...
drank it, and went back in the wood. End of the day.
Late
morning, 10h30 got on the bike after a nice breakfast of 2 yoghurt,
with cereal and a fresh pear . well have to go back same way, the
road was so deform, I add to keep my eye on it all the time, way yup
didnt really realize, you go so slow it doesnt mater, but going
down... sometime hurt to it a little hole with the weight on. Reached
the d-920, and you start climbing again, saw a sign saying thonon les
bains 40 km, that was my goal, but I was already tired, so morzine
was closer 8 km. Felt like forever to finish those 8 km and once
there, I took a look at the road ahead and humm seem to go down
following the river. Lets try it, 32 km of downhill till the lake.
Brilliant. Seem to be a nice river for kayak and even rafting. Found
the campsite and went straight in the shower, felt so good,
food,write, 9pm still have sunlight but can't stand anymore.
