December 1st

Well the last 5 weeks have been busy, full of work and more of those life lessons. All part of the fun of living overseas... should make living in Aus a piece of cake hey?!? haha
Well where do I start?? the hills opened mid November which meant I was on the next gondola up to the top all excited to learn how to snowboard! I am going up when I get the chance, which is not as often as I would like, but after next week it will be every chance I can get....
I have seen so many breath taking sights and felt so many cold temperatures I now think I can handle any thing *lol* we have been going through a bit of a cold snap of late, for instance today got to -14 and right now its -15 outside. blegh!
Christmas will be here before we can sneeze and be gone before someone can say "bless you" I have been told by work that I am more than likely be working Christmas day, which is fine by me... I dont have family here but means I get paid double time... which is nice. I think I might get the chance to give my family a call on Christmas day, which will be nice, hope to hear their voices again soon.
I am heading to Vancouver on this weekend, so see my friends before Christmas, I miss them already and I cant wait to catch up with Dave and Marina! we are gonna head out for dinner and might get to go ice skating in the open air rink in the centre of the city, which will be amazing!!
I managed to get Olympic Tickets, which is kinda exciting, I get to see the womens Luge and im going to look at some of the Paraolympic tickets aswell, the downhill should be a fascinating event and the ski jump would be too.... will have to check out what is available on the days...
Not sure what else to write in here, I have work this week, and Im totally excited about this coming weekend... oh and im catching up with a friend from Squamish on Thursday before work for lunch which will be nice, I cant wait! :)
I have been learning more French and my new Korean friends are teaching me Korean too, so I can say "Hello, how are you?" in Korean... and I have a quite strong French vocabulary now... im kinda loving it.
Well, the bed time of mine is near and work will be on tomorrow, bah another walk in -12 hahaha im kinda oblivious now... used to it almost!
I am off, Bonsoir

We all sent you off for a grand adventure but none of us said pack it ALL into a couple of months!!! LOL!

I reckon working Christmas day is great fun when and something you can only really do with enjoyment before you have kids so seize the day and the money Chantelle! You'll find everyone is happy and full of Christmas cheer as the day progResses and before they get really sloshed. Been there and done that.. always had a good time.

Hope the meeting up with friends goes off well, one thing is for sure, you'll never run short of conversation! A whole new world eh babe!

I'm going to keep the mail with the blog thingy on it.. I spent an hour last Sunday looking for the web link and another last night. I'm bloody hopeless!

I was married on 7th March and first thing I heard on that morning was my father saying 'It's snowing!'

Not much news this end. Got b/prints for the crappy gingerbread trap but still trying to get the base. If you get bored with M/H a good game is Castle Age, seems to be glitch free and a bit of a laugh after the first few days. There is another with a similar name which is not as good so only join the one I'm in.

The photos are brilliant.. I stopped looking because Mike wants to have a deco too but he is watching tv for another hour first. Our weather is bizarre, only a couple of hot days, mostly chilly with only a few hours of sunshine, massive rain and icy cold nights. I've got a thick sweater on and Mike puts the electric blanket on at night (I don't mean he wears it) LOL!

Excellent news about the tickets for the Olympics, we might get to see you in the crowd.. I've taken note of your purple jacket. I know it sounds mad but I spotted Mike and daughter Sue at the Olympics here in Aussie a few years ago watching the horse jumping in the stands. I got it on video too LOL!

Going for another look at blog. Keep warm, keep well and keep writing the journal!

Luv ya
