It feels a little like Christmas.

Literally, it does feel a little like Christmas... in the northern hemisphere that is :)
It all hasnt been smooth sailing for me had my ups and downs and learning lessons every day...
I been working hard and trying to save a bit of money and failing a little at it.. im sure that from here on in it will become easier, I am now *hopefully* set up for the winter, with all my gear and so on waiting to go...
Work is good, heaps of nice people and friendly customers around, there are also a lot of athletes up here from around the world training at the sliding centre which is cool.
I got a couple of packages the other day, one from Dad with a few things in it, and one from Mum which had a hoodie in it... I also that same day went down to Vancouver and purchased a laptop and a slow cooker so it all sort of came in 2 days... I have put the SA flag up in the window I got from dad, and the first aid kit sits in the bottom of my backpack that almost lives on my back.
I had a bit of an attack of the homesicks yesterday morning, I was a bit overtired and it just wasnt fun... but having said that, I seem to be ok now :) a few things have lifted my mood.
I got a bit of a suprise after work last night, it was snowing!! in the village and I walked home in it, what an amazing feeling like everything was all good and that all I cared about was the snowflakes that landed on my nose and down the front of my jacket!
Also been watching the ice hockey when I can, and loving it!! going out with friends tomorrow night to watch the hockey and have a couple beers and a nice meal. Im looking forward to it.
I have had a go at my slow cooker, put a chicken in it and left it for the day, wow what a roast meal that was! I just have to work out how to make it all crispy like they have in the shops lol but damn the meat fell off the bones and was so tender and juicy.
Tonight was baked potatoes and an experiment that turned out absolutely delicious... will have the second one tomorrow.. it has carrot bacon onion, cheese, sour cream and pineapple on it... mouth watering yumminess lol if that was a word Ive just used it k.
I have to make a trip *last of the year* back down to Vancouver, to sort out my mobile phone and so on as it is not working out with the company... I will just go with a company up here in whistler so it will all be local and if anything goes wrong its not a tryip to the city... its a walk into the village.. I learnt that lesson on friday, not going to do that again... so there will be a new phone number and a new company in the next week or so... might actually chase it up tomorrow morning... blegh lol morning!!
The sun is coming up at about 8-830 am now and its cold all days everyday now... :) I have a weather site..

http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/cabc0322

check it out and see what the weather is like if you want.. its fun seeing what I have to go thru.. I look at it every morning to see how many layers I put on :P if its between 0 and 5 I have 3 layers and a jacket, if its above 5 well I havent had many of those days, but would be 2 layers and a jacket if its under 0 I have thermals, and then hoodie and a jacket (REALLY WARM)
Well... I have to go back to the world of Chantelle for a while... will keep you updated...
PS for the nerd friends I have out there I have a Samsung Q320 Laptop, dual core 8700 2.53 GHz with 320 GB Hdd... with Windows 7 Upgrade in the mail. the webcam works too, unlike the Asus. :)
