Adventurous Escapades

Mixed emotions

UNITED KINGDOM | Tuesday, 12 April 2011 | Views [120]

This morning greeted me with such fantastic news.  As I lay in bed reading my emails first thing this morning, this is what I read:

You may remember praying for a young lady called Jenny at DNA. She was suffering from a dairy allergy. She testified in the meeting today that she has been free from that evening onwards. She is so stoked - eating dairy and all! Well done. Praise God.

That's fantastic news.  What a way to wake up!

But then I read further in my inbox to discover that my grandmother passed away last night.  Today has been a flurry of activity as I searched for flights and car hire options in Cape Town.  All is done now and finalised.  I fly out tomorrow night at 9pm and return on the 27th.  Perhaps when I'm strapped in my seat on the plane I will be able to process the emotions of the day.  But for now, I'm packed (mostly), quite exhuasted and still adjusting to a rather unplanned and unexpected trip home...
